Pieces to Camera

When recording a piece to camera, remember the key points:

• Keep it short. Fifteen seconds at most. Memorise the words. If you make a mistake or hesitate, start again.
• Make sure the location is relevant to the story.
• Use the interview microphone, plugged into audio socket 1 on the camera. Make sure we can’t see the microphone in the shot!
• Count to three (silently) before you start and after you finish.
• Be creative, if it works with the story.
